Here's a gum

Chatting with Tudor today made me remember a funny fact about small shops in Romania. Whenever you buy something, they give gums or candies back instead of the rest of the money.

They almost never have small money, so they give you small stupid things even though you didn't ask for them. And very often, that gum, candy or whatever doesn't even cover the amount of money you should get back.

But it sounds fair for them :-P

why didn´t you put your picture drinking chimarrao? anyway, you didn´t mention the rapaduras, feijoada, paes de queijo... I think you have to cook mămăligă more often to be fair enough to live with me! =)

Hahaha the small groceries in Egypt do the exact same thing! My dad once told them "so if I come to buy something and I dont have money, can I pay for it in chocolates??!!" Its so funny how this happens in Romania as well

Oh Debora, if I told all the good things you cook people might think I'm just a bastard who likes to brag on the internet. I just put the 2 things I like the most :-)

About the picture... hmm, I look weird in that one, but I'll definately put one at that post :P

To Mai: I know somebody who once did the same thing, he went to pay with gums... lots of gums he gathered with time, and the lady at the store took it after all, but was really angry :))
